Important Documents Book

Picture
Your Important Documentation Book is probably the one thing that will assist you in getting your life back quickly after some kind of crisis.  No matter what that crisis is, having copies of all your documents from bank statements, to real estate deeds, wills and power of attorney, and on to personal inventory, contact numbers and pet or livestock paperwork, right on up to vehicle information and your investments (to name a few).  IF you should ever have to vacate your home quickly this is the one item you should have handy to grab and go.

Lets face it, insurance companies will want all of this information in order to initiate that first compensation check.  The more detailed the information you can provide them (from policy numbers to a detailed household inventory), the more detail you can provide them; the faster these companies and our government will respond with assistance (financial or otherwise).

Make copies of this book, keep one at home in a fire & water proof lock box, one at the bank or with a trusted relative or friend.
